A love affair with salsa
The condiment’s roots can be traced back to ancient times extending as far back as the Aztec civilization.  Today, salsa has become an integral part of the American diet.  In 1988, only 16% of U.S. households bought salsa, by 1992 that figure jumped to 36%. We currently offer three gourmet salsas, a Restaurant Style, a green (
verde) salsa, and a red (roja) salsa. All three products are somewhat picante or ‘medium’ in terms of heat, and they are palatable and full of personality.

Salsas are typically thought of as an accompaniment for chips. But they can be used as a cooking sauce for beef, chicken, or pork.  There are many other uses, some of which are mentioned below.
Restaurant Style Salsa

 

Whether your occasion is formal or casual, this is a delectable and quite different salsa, zesty, but refreshing at the same time.  This salsa is full of flavor, fun and sure to provide a unique salsa experience.  So thick and hearty you can eat it with a fork, but use a more edible utensil instead.  We recommend traditional tortilla chips! It tastes great on Quesadillas, Taquitos, and just about any appetizer.  If you’re feeling a little creative, mix it in with Queso and to make an extraordinary dip!


Zesty Gourmet Salsa Verde 

 

Tomatillo, the tasty vegetable which is "blanched" to bring out true flavor, in traditional Mexican fashion is used as the base ingredient.  This salsa’s mouth watering flavors are an excellent companion for Pork or Chicken dishes, as in Enchiladas suizas. It is also terrific on Flautas, Tamales, Tacos and makes a great dip too.  For a real treat, add two avocados to a cup of Zesty Gourmet Salsa Verde for a delicious Guacamole!


Zesty Gourmet Salsa Roja 

 

Traditional red salsas have the usual uses, but this salsa is so versatile you can even heat it up and spread it on meats and poultry.  It makes a magnificent compliment to Shrimp Diablo, it adds the perfect balance of aroma and flavors, and the hot in this salsa is very subtle and has a great after-bite. The key to its unsurpassed taste and truly wonderful sensation on one’s palate is using only the freshest Roma Tomatoes.
